Natsumi Uemura and Shuji Kashiwagi, are two high school teachers due to marry in six months. On the eve of the new school year's opening ceremony, Shuji becomes involved with the young Hikari Saeki, both unaware that they will face each other in class come morning. As Shuji struggles to help Hikari deal with her confusing emotions, he himself is torn apart over his betrayal of his fiancée.
