As a dam construction threatens to flood their village, the devout villagers place their trust in Choi Gyung Seok, a church elder who promises relocation. Choi claims that only 144,000 can go to heaven and demands church offerings as a "ticket." Even Reverend Sung, the respected minister, supports him. However, Choi is a conman exploiting the villagers for their resettlement funds. The only obstacle to his scheme is Kim Min Chul, a skeptical outcast who uncovers Choi’s past and becomes the key figure in opposing the fraud.
