Asagi Soramame, a 23-year-old energetic woman from rural Kyushu, follows her childhood friend and fiancé to Tokyo. Fate keeps pulling her closer to a stranger—Umino Oto, also 23, a struggling musician who works part-time at a café. After being abandoned by her fiancé for another woman, Soramame ends up staying in the same boarding house as Oto. Oto’s songs, once lacking emotion, begin to change with Soramame in his life.
